A brand new DEMO for Lichenvale, a first person hack and slash offering fast-paced melee action mixed with the tactical use of spells and dashing around your enemies, is available for press and gamers alike to download and try during the October incarnation of the Steam Next Fest.
Inspired by 90’s hits like Hexen and Quake, with a bit of modern philosophy of Dark Souls and Doom: Eternal, Lichenvale is a work of a solo developer Filip Zemljak, formerly of Ubisoft Bucharest/Belgrade. While this is Filip’s first solo developed indie game, it’s immediately apparent he poured his heart and soul into it, and gamers can expect a breath of nostalgia for sure.
The game is expected to be released in April of 2023, and this new demo has the initial levels reworked to cut on the backtracking and provide a more seamless combat experience.
